Brown Family Collection :

The Brown Family farmed just north of Waikanae from the late 1800s and the farm is still in the family today. This collection is essentially in three parts - Part One consists of the very early farming records, and Part Two is a large collection of items and archives from Arthur James Brown (Jim), mostly military (WW2) in nature. Part Three is a large collection of Brown Family history which consists of photos and archives and includes the reunion celebrated by the descendants and relatives of Archibald and Rebecca Brown in March 2001. Also included is a book written by Helen Bruce titled Paetawa, the Pigs and the Potatoes, 100 years with the Brown Family at Paetawa, March 1901 - March 2001.
