Object Name:
Calendar, Perpetual
Object ID:
A perpetual calendar with a glass front containing a picture of a very young Queen Elizabeth II wearing a diamond necklace and crown. The picture was reproduced from a photograph taken by Dorothy Wilding in 1952 and it possible that the calendar was made as a souvenir for the coronation in 1953. It is made from hard coloured plastic with a stippled surface, which is a cream colour with light blue on the edges. It has four white knobs which twist to change the day, month and date. There is a metal folding stand on the back.
