Description:
Artwork, encased in a blue wooden box painted in blue with a perspex cover on the front which can be removed. The box is also attached to a blue wooden stand with two legs at the front. Inside the box is a piece of blue glass that resembles the sea. On the surface of the glass is a model of a ship with a Union Jack and strips of material with poetry written on the surface rolled around to resemble waves. In the background on a rectangular piece of wood is a painting of a lighthouse with hills and sea, the colours used are different tones of blue with gray and white. Attached are nine rods in varying length that have a round piece of wood painted purple with a silver coloured star (which at some angles can have a gold colour) attached.

The artwork is titled Navigator's Shrine — Honouring the Guidance of Pleiades and Good Fortune and the artist is Susan Artner. She was inspired by the poetry of Stephanie de Montalk and the constellation Pleiades. The roll of the the waves with the poetry on the strips of material was intended to suggest the ship finding its way successfully from turmoil of sea into the shores guided by the lighthouse.
