Saw, Two—Handed Crosscut

Description:
Large old antique saw made from metal with a jagged edge on one side. At one end near the top is a turquoise colour that has peeled away from the surface. At both ends is a metal piece with nuts and bolts to allow a handle to be attached. This enabled the saw to be used by two people, one at each end to cut through tough wood.

The saw was used by Benjamin Ngaia, Te Moana Road in Waikanae.
