Description:
A view of a street from an upstairs window. On the street are three military tanks and several other vehicles. The photo is taken in Trieste on the day which Josip Tito the Yugoslav partisan leader was leaving the city, 12 June 1945. Tito had occupied the city of Trieste, Italy but moved out (after a short stand—off) once Allied forces arrived at the end of World War Two.
