Description:
World War II army field telephone encased in heavy wooden green box complete with working instructions to be found in inside lid.
These phones were designed to withstand wartime conditions. They can draw power from their own battery, from a telephone exchange or from an external power source. They were first used in WW1 to direct troops, replacing flag signals and telegraph.
