Description:
Alexandria, Egypt during World War Two. Photo taken from above, shows roundabout surrounded by a mixture of horse drawn transport and motorised transport (buses). The centre of the roundabout has a large plinth on which is a statue of Mohamed Ali sitting on a horse. He is credited as the founder of Alexandria.
