Friends in Retirement

NUMBER 23

June/July 1993

MEETINGS: — first Mondays, Baptist Church Hall. 1.30pm.

Greetings Friends: What a good meeting we had again last month. Good food, a warm hall, lovely flowers (thankyou Myra) and an interesting speaker. Audrey Amey scarcely had time for her cuppa as so many wanted to talk with her.

JUNE'S 'DROP — IN CENTRE'

What a great — and generous idea! June has offered her home at 58 Queens Road every Thursday from 1 to 4p.m. for a social get—together. Bring any craft you have on hand (most of us at least have some knitting. June, a great craftswoman). the afternoon will shape itself. People have offered to demonstrate their own particular skill and some may like to exchange ideas, patterns, recipes (cooking is an art and craft, too) or whatever. Inaugural day — June's on June 17th.

Get into health and fitness with Tv One's '50 Forward' at 9.30.am every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
