MEETINGS: — first Mondays, Baptist Church Hall. 1.30pm.
Greetings, Friends as we look forward to a good third year. Our birthday party demonstrated the advances we have made in two years, how we have changed from the rather diffident people we were then. There is a real spirit of friendship and acceptance of each other. ( "warts and all" as Oliver Cromwell said!). One member told me that she feels as if she is coming into an extended family when she comes to a FiR meeting.
WELCOME to SEVEN new members this month — Lesley Brown ph. [phone number]; Maggy Gall [phone number]; Fran Minty [phone number]; Nell Orr [phone number] Myra Parker [phone number] Barbara Tweedie [phone number]; Eileen Worrall [phone number]. Please don't feel 'new', your ideas and suggestions will be as welcome as everyone's.
A new membership list will be coming out soon with coding again for individual interests — you will be asked to name up to five. This gives you an opportunity to get together with others and share interests apart from FiR meetings. Just lift the phone (and dial, of course!) Have any of you tried it yet?
