Keith Elliott, the war hero who became an Anglican priest, died in Lower Hutt on Saturday aged 73.
A farmer from Pahaitua, he rose to fame during the Second World War after being awarded the Victoria Cross. In 1947 he became the first VC to be ordained in the Anglican Church.
